Science fiction books often include science and technology that may available in the future.  The setting may be in outer space, in another world, or in the future.  Some science fiction books include time travel some include alien life forms.

Franny K. Stein: Attack of the 50 Foot Cupid (Franny K. Stein, Mad Scientist series #2) by Jim Benton

This book was published in 2004. It has 102 pages. 
Franny K. Stein is an awesome story about a girl who has never heard of Valentine’s Day. Franny, the girl, makes a machine that made a Valentine’s Day card come alive. So Franny fights cupid and fails. She got a dog that is a wimp. He actually saved the day because he bit cupid on his butt. If you like books about kid mad scientists you might like this science fiction book. I recommend this book because it is really good. It’s good because there is action in it, and I love action books. This is a very good book. I give it stars. It is recommended for students in 3rd and 4th grade.

The Invisible Fran (Franny K. Stein, Mad Scientist series #3) by Jim Benton

This book was published in 2004.  It has 101 pages.
The book is a wonderful story about a girl that is a mad scientist that turns herself invisible. Franny is the main character. The setting of the story is in school and at Franny's house. Franny is new in school and she wants friends, but she is different then everybody. In the story Franny tries to make her new friends mad scientists, but Franny said that they didn’t do good so they couldn’t be mad scientists. Instead they quit and built a robot to destroy Franny. If you like books about humor that’s about mad scientists you might like this sci-fi book I recommend this story because it is funny, exciting, and it’s interesting. The book is funny because a little girl is really smart. The book is exciting because of the action in the story. The book is also interesting because Franny makes interesting experiments. 
This is a fantastic book, I give it  stars.

The Fran that Time Forgot (Franny K. Stein, Mad Scientist series #4) by Jim Benton

This book was published in 2005. It has 102 pages. 
The Fran that Time Forgot is a fabulous story about a girl and she turned into a baby then she turned into a teenager. The first thing that happened was that Franny was inventing different machines. Then Franny didn’t want her teacher to say her middle name because it was embarrassing. Then Franny went back in time to change her middle name. She saw her when she was a baby. Then she went into the future and saw her when she was older and her house was messed up, and she took over the world. Read the book to find out if she saves the world. If you like books about about evil and funny people then you might like this humorous book. I recommend this story because it is funny. It is also a good book because it has a good author. It is good because it is creative. A creative thing that happened was when Franny found a way how to a defeat the robots. This is a fantastic book, I give it   stars. It is recommended for students in second grade and up.

Franny K. Stein the Fran That Time Forgot is a wondrous story about Franny, a girl that’s middle name was gross so she went back in time to change her middle name to Kaboom and everything goes wrong. If you like books about mad science you might like this science fiction book. I recommend this story because it is pretty cool how they used time travel. This was a very scientific and wonderful book. I give it it is recommended for students in second and third grades.

This story is full of crazy and exciting characters. If you like books about people changing humorously you might like this sci-fi book. I recommend this story because the book is good, it's weird, and adventurous.

The Iron giant: A Story in Five Nights by Ted Hughes

It was published in 1999. It has 79 pages. 
The Iron Giant is an exciting story about a robot meeting a boy. When I read the first chapter I was amazed by the book. One of the characters is a farmer boy named Hogarth. He is the only person in the world that cares about the Iron Giant. At the end everything turns out ok. I give the book  stars . It really sucks you into the book.

Time Warp Trio: The Good the Bad and the Goofy by Jon Scieszka

This book is a superb story about three kids that get time warped.  The characters in this book are very funny and are great friends. The problem in this book is that the three characters get time warped with a book and green smoke back into 1868.  Oh no! What if they can't find the book to get back?  While they were back in time they ran into Indians that had the book to get back to the future.  If you like  books about magic and funny things you might like this science fiction book. I recommend this story because this book never gets boring and there's always something going on.  
This is an adventurous book, I give it stars.

Time Warp Trio: Your Mother Was a Neanderthal by Jon Scieszka

Your Mother Was a Neanderthal  is about Joe, Sam, and Fred.  They go back in time to 40 years B.C. Joe is the leader of Sam and Fred. The boys have a book that sends them back in time. In this book, in the Time Warp Trio series, they are in the time of the dinosaurs, they have to try to get back to the year they were in at the beginning. While they were there they meet apes, cave girls, and mammoths. If you like time travel books you might like this science fiction book. I recommend this story because it’s a excellent setting, awesome characters and it’s a super book.
