Crispin is a creative story about a boy who is running from his problems. Crispin is declared a Wolf’s head (he is not human anymore) and he runs away from his hometown after his mother dies. No one knows his name, but the priest. When the priest is suddenly murdered, Crispin feels like he will never find out his name. If you like books about daring thirteen-year olds you might like this historical fiction book. I recommend this book because it is a page-turner and you’ll want to read more. The way the author explains the story is awesome. The characters are very life-like. This is a beautifully descriptive book. I give it   stars.

The Tale of Despereaux is a spinetingling story about a mouse named Despereaux and how his chivalry and bravery shine in this magnificent tale. This story includes many details that can cause a movie in your head. From when Roscuro tried to eat Despereaux, to Despereaux saving the Pea, to when Miggery Sow becomes a princess. It is touching story. If you like books about knights and mice, you might like this marvelous book. I recommend this story because the setting, characters and old English language are all renaissance style. I like those types of books, and you will too after you read this book. This is a wonderful book; I give it     stars.

Hoot by Carl Hiaasen

Hoot is a fantastic story about a young boy named Roy who has a friend that goes by the name of the shoeless boy. The main idea of the story is that Roy tries to help the shoeless boy save a family of burrowing owls. They go through many dangers such as from snakes, bears, alligators, vicious dogs, being bullied, being arrested, and even faking their identity. The story takes place at the junkyard, police station, school, and a construction site guarded by vicious dogs. If you like books about courageousness you might like this humorous book. I recommend this story because it teaches people about friendship and teamwork. It will make you think about how fortunate you are.
This is a superior book, I give it     stars.

Rules is an amazing story about a girl named Catherine who has a brother, David with special needs. David has autism so she always needs to help him. She gives him rules so he can act normal. At the doctor she meets a boy that has special problems, his name is Jason. He uses a book with cards to speak. Catherine and Jason become close friends who do lots of weird things together. If you like books about sad / happy things you might like this realistic fiction book. I recommend this story because it is so good you can’t possibly put this wonderful book down. I think this is one of the best books ever written that’s why I recommend it. The part I loved about it was that even if you have special problems like David you can still accomplish things. This is a fantastic book, I give it     stars. This is recommended to children 4th-6th grade.

A Single Shard is an extraordinary story about an orphan named Tree ear, a wise crippled man, and a famous potter named Min. It takes place in a Korean Village and the capital. It is about a boy pursuing his dreams to be a potter. If you like books about foreign historical fiction you might like this historical fiction book. I recommend this story because it describes the characters without fault. The plot leaves you on the edge of your seat. The language matches the time perfectly. This is a phenomenal book, I give it     stars.

A Single Shard is an outstanding story about a boy named Tree Ear, who is an orphan, who takes pottery that his master Min made to the emperor of China. On his way the pottery was broken. What will happen next? If you like books about different countries you might like this historical fiction book. I recommend this story because it was an terrific book and it has good description about the story and characters. For example, when Tree Ear finds the pottery broken. This is an excellent book, I give it     stars. I recommend for students in fifth graders.

A Long Way from Chicago is a wacky story about a sister and brother that go to their grandma’s house every summer. They always enjoyed going to their grandma’s. They have many adventures with their grandma like when they hide a girl from her mean mother. Their grandma hates to spend money. If you like books about weird grandmas you might like this adventurous historical fiction book. I recommend this story because it is an adventurous, funny book, and the characters are very weird. This is an interesting book.

Holes is an exciting story about a teenage boy named Stanley Yelnats, who was walking home from school and a pair of Sweet Feet shoes fell on him from the sky. The cops showed up and he got accused of steeling them, so he got sent to Camp Green Lake. There was no lake and it was very hot there. Stanley and the other people there dug holes, hoping to find treasure for the warden. Stanley makes a friend called Hector Zeroni (Zero) and they both went through tough obstacles together. I recommend this story because I wanted to keep reading and never stop. The author of this book describes things very well. I love how the author uses good adjectives. This was one of the best books I have ever read. The author made this book very good. This is a terrific book, I give it    stars. I recommend this book for 5th grade.

Holes is a fascinating story about a kid named Stanley Yelnats that gets framed for taking a really expensive pair of shoes. He gets caught by the police and was told to go to jail or a camp called camp green lake. When he was shown the camp he wanted to leave. They have you dig to look for treasures and gold. If you like books about adventure you might like this fiction book. I recommend this story because it is really exciting and it kept you hanging off your seat. When I thought that he was going to find the treasure I was wondering whether or not he would find it. This is an outstanding book, I give it    stars. It is recommended to students in fifth and fourth grade.

The Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare
The Sign of the Beaver is a fantastic story about a boy named Matt. He is in the woods waiting for his dad to get his mom, sister, and the new baby in Massachusetts. Eventually Matt meets Attean, an Indian. This story is Phoenominal! Matt and Attean go through lots of awesome adventures together . There are adventures with a rifle, bear, and lots more. To me, it is a excellent book, and it will be a fantastic to you. If you like books about pioneer life you might like this historical fiction book. I recommend this story because there is a very lot of chapter that keep you at the edge of your seat. There is a lot of adventure in it. There is a lot of amazing events.
