The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo
FIC DIC
Do you like stories when something loves, loses, and has to learn to love again? If you do then The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane is a great fantasy story for you. It tells a story of rabbit named Edward Tulane who thinks he is all that and a bag of chips. His owner is a young girl named Abilene who loves him as much as he loves himself. Edward gets thrown overboard a ship called the Queen Mary. He has adventures with a fisherman who rescued him from the sea, he was unburied by a dog from the dump and traveled with a hobo and his dog, and he worked as a scarecrow. He lost most of the people he learned to love. He watched a little girl die. His head got broken into 21 pieces. Read this book to find out if he ever gets his head put back together and if he ever sees Abilene again. I love this book because it has loving characters, exciting text and emotional things that are happening to Edward, and all of the other characters. It was sad when the little girl died and happy when he met new people like the hobo and his dog or the fisherman and his wife. I give this book stars.
